WHY WE WENT

Dave had to go for work and I was still on maternity leave so we joined him.

HOW LONG WE STAYED

WHO WENT

Dave, Ana and Owen (about 14 months)

WHERE WE WENT

We only had a couple of days before Dave’s work week so we headed south from Halifax to Peggy’s Cove, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg and then headed north to wine country and looped back to Halifax.

HOW WE DID Nova scotia

We did a road trip for about a week and then while Dave worked, Owen and I roamed around Halifax on our own. In fact, he took his first few little steps on the pier!

Time change

It’s only a one hour time difference for us so it was no big deal to switch Owen over.

transportation

We rented a car for our roadtrip at the beginning of the trip and then returned it once we got back to Halifax where we just walked everywhere.

accommodations

We booked AirBnb and then Dave’s work put us up at the Lord Nelson Hotel and that was really nice but again, it’s so tough to share a room with a small child. Once he went to sleep I watched TV in the dark and with the volume way down.

Our days

We kept the drives short and enjoyed the towns we visited. We enjoyed delicious seafood and drinks.

Owen and I explored all of the playgrounds in Halifax (that’s where he learned to walk) and took a delicious walking food tour.
