WHY WE WENT

Straight to Bruges, the beautiful medieval town renowned for its picturesque canals and, of course, waffles. 

Note: I chose this town because of the 2008 movie In Bruges, starring Colin Farrell, which I loved.

HOW WE DID Bruges

The plan? No plan. We embraced the art of wandering, fully aware that in a place as charming as Bruges, you just can’t go wrong.

Time change

There was no time difference from the time in Amsterdam where we have already been for one week.

Transportation

Just our feet. The entire town is walkable.

ACCOMMODATIONS

I shared a room with two of my friends and honestly cannot remember the name of the hotel.

Our days

While Bruges is beautiful, it is small so two days and one night were more than enough. Regardless, we made the most of it – we wandered the town, I ate so many Belgium waffles and we attempted a night out – although, to our surprise, the entire town was in bed by 9pm. 

This very brief trip was a testament to the joy that travel brings me, even when it’s for a single waffle (or so many waffles!).
